The wild rag reached popularity back in the 1880s as a means to keep one's neck warm in extreme weather. The wild rag has many uses. Utilized primarily for warmth, it's been known also to be used to keep branding smoke or dust out of one's face, as a pot holder around the camp fire, a tourniquet, horse blindfold, or even an arm sling or splint!

CARE:

To keep your silk wild rag in the best shape, wash it by hand in cold water. Be careful not to stretch it, scrunch it up, or wring it when you are washing it. You can wash your silk scarf in the washing machine if you take care: use mild laundry soap or shampoo.
